Small groups and outdoor learning discovery

With bright, welcoming group rooms and an adventurous outdoor playground, Daisy’s Daycare provides an inspiring environment where children can discover something new every day. Our caring and professional team of educators and coaches is ready to guide children aged 0 to 4 with love, attention, and support.

Small Groups for More Calm and Individual Attention

At Daisy’s Daycare, one of our key pedagogical principles is working with small groups. Smaller groups create a calmer atmosphere and allow us to provide a structured, personalized environment. In a peaceful and well-organized setting, children can focus more easily, feel safe, and receive the support they need for their development.

Small groups also enable us to respond more effectively to the unique needs of each child. Our educators can observe, guide, and support children more closely, quickly identifying when a child requires extra attention—whether socially, emotionally, physically, or cognitively. This personalized approach helps foster each child’s independence, confidence, and social skills, contributing to their optimal development.

This method benefits our educators as well. Smaller groups allow them to dedicate more time and attention to each child, build deeper connections, and respond more effectively to individual needs. This not only enhances the quality of care but also increases staff satisfaction and sense of fulfillment.

Parents also experience the advantages of smaller groups. They feel more confident in the care and guidance their children receive, with more opportunities for personal communication and collaboration. This creates a stronger partnership between parents and staff, ensuring that every child’s needs are met with attention and care.

"Playing outside means discovering, moving and growing in nature."

Learning and Exploring Outdoors

At Daisy’s Daycare, we aim to spend time outside every day, weather permitting. Outdoor play is an essential part of our daily routine, supporting not only children’s physical development but also their social, cognitive, and emotional well being.

With our babies, we enjoy taking walks in Westerpark, allowing both infants and staff to experience fresh air while stimulating their senses through the natural surroundings. For toddlers and preschoolers, our garden provides ample opportunities for outdoor play. Designed with natural elements such as trees, grass, sand, logs, a bike path, and a vegetable garden, it encourages exploration and adventure.

Free play is highly valued, both indoors and outdoors. It gives children the space to discover, express creativity, and play together. We promote both gross and fine motor skills through activities that involve climbing, running, balancing, and grasping. These activities not only support physical development but also boost confidence and help develop key social skills.

Outdoor play also fosters a healthy lifestyle and encourages a positive connection with nature. We believe that being outside, enjoying fresh air, and engaging in movement form an important foundation for each child’s overall growth and development.
