The groups at Daisy's Daycare
Horizontal groups
At Daisy’s Daycare, we organize our children into age-based groups, so that every child can receive the attention, calm, and challenges that match their stage of development. This structure allows us to really understand each child, celebrate their individual growth, and support them in exploring, learning, and discovering at their own pace. Every child is unique, and we make sure their experience reflects that.
A safe foundation to grow
At Daisy’s Daycare, we create an environment where every child feels safe, seen, and supported. Our group structure allows us to respond to each child’s unique needs, helping them explore, learn, and grow at their own pace, in a setting where they feel comfortable and confident.
Intentionally smaller groups
We intentionally keep our groups smaller than the legal maximum, because from experience we know that this is the best way to nurture calm, attention, and quality care. In smaller groups, our educators have the time to truly connect with each child, notice little signals, and support their personal growth.
This gentle, attentive approach also extends to families. We value open, personal communication, share observations, and enjoy supporting parents in understanding their child’s development. Together, we build a caring partnership between home and daycare, always keeping the child’s happiness and well-being at the heart of everything we do.

Why age-based groups?
Every stage of childhood brings its own unique needs and opportunities for growth. By organizing children into age-based groups, we can create an environment, activities, and guidance that are perfectly suited to each stage of development. This allows children to feel supported, challenged, and nurtured in ways that match where they are in their journey.
Moving to a new group
When a child moves to the next group, we don’t just consider their age. We look closely at their individual stage of development. We allow a flexibility of up to six months, so a child only transitions when they are truly ready. This ensures that every child feels safe, secure, and confident as they take the next step in their journey.
Baby group (0–1.5 years)
In the baby group, calm, safety, and individual attention are at the heart of everything we do. Our small, low-stimulation environment gives babies the space to form secure attachments, feel comforted, and build a foundation of trust.
Infant group (1–2.5 years)
Toddlers are naturally curious and beginning to explore independence. In this group, we encourage language and motor skill development while giving children the freedom to explore at their own pace and enjoy social interaction with peers.
Toddler group (2–4 years)
In the preschool groups, children continue to grow in independence, social skills, and self-confidence. They learn to collaborate, communicate, and tackle challenges, while having plenty of space for creative play and problem-solving.
